Diamonds form under extreme temperatures andhigh pressuredeep in the earth's surface. Diamonds, like graphite, are made completely of carbon. The carbon structures in each however are completely different. Once a rough diamond is found it must be cleaved, cut and polished before its true beauty may shine.
